old news:

Went over old news from last meeting.

    -   Overall the last show went pretty well.  Need some improvements

    - convention in Junction City

    - discussed change to best all around, modification to avoid whitetail and mule deer in seperate category.

New News:

    - Discussed new news changes in board members.  reviewed current budget

    -  Discussed changes to format to accomodate people helping, register participants etc.  All judging will be done friday night so that people helping can attend seminars.

        - - Judges are  Kent Reedy; judging birds, fish, reptiles.  Brian Harness; judging mammals.  Mitch Webb; judging gameheads and whitetail

       - Discussed needs for improvement.  

            - nobody is to be allowed in the competition room other than Judge and scribe at anytime during judging.  ( this has been an issue in the past) Doors will be closed!

            -  People who violate this rule will be asked to leave by the scribe or board member not the judge (not the judges responcibility)

            -  It was mentioned that there is going to be more help needed when placing mounts in the competition room to make sure the policies and rules are followed. 

            -  Discussed ideas to get more vendors to the show.  (We need to keep hounding supply companies to show up)  talked about maybe taking orders pre-competion to encourage vendors to bring supplys out to save on shipping for customers.

            -Discussed ways to accomodate the families at the shows (making the location of competition more pleasing to families (bigger cities with more to do, better hotels)

                it was mentioned to not go to same hotel in hutch, do to poor quality hotel.  Suggestion where to provide vendors to accomodate the women and families that arent competing.

            Discussed getting older members that havent attend in a while to attend this coming years 25th anniversery celebration.  `Also requested any old pictures from past events to show at the convention.  

        hats celebrating the event will be available at competition.

    Discussed getting more people to attend meetings.  It was mentioned to have it on Saturdays instead of Sundays.  It was mentioned that they did this before and still no change.  Discussed trying to do seminars but still no more people attend.

Sean did seminar on pedestal backing, meeting adjourned.

    Next meeting will be in january at Courtyard by Marriott Hotel & Convention Center
 in Junciton City to reveiw space for competition and discuss any new news
