July 11, 2007

Toms Taxidermy

Members in attendance: Tom Bowman, Clint Bowman, Jerry Kessinger, Cindy Cunningham and Suzie Rulo

Meeting Called to order @ 10:10 am

Old Business:

-Cindy – stated Steve Rulo and Mike Beckman were in charge of competition room; she thought there was a big problem with people going in and out of the competition room; the doors need to be policed more.

-Jerry- stated it is usually not as bad when Eric Couch is running the room.

-Cindy – to many people were in there and outsiders were asking why, she thought things are just getting to familiar and only scribes and a room monitor should be in there.  Sean Bechtold has offered to be a scribe for next show

-Clint – asked who judges were for next

-Cindy – shared Shawn Dawson, Mitch Webb and Joe Kaiser; contract are signed and returned. Cindy will scribe for Shawn and Sean Bechtold for Mitch; still looking for a scribe for Joe.

-Tom – shared that Nebraska left out of state members go and hour early from show; had a brief discussion

-Clint –thought it would be good idea to open room to the public and hour earlier, all agreed

-Cindy reminded Jerry that a person is still needed for gathering suppliers for the show; looking for someone who is dedicated

New Business

-Tom shared that Wildlife Gallery is beginning to set-up drop points for taxidermist to save money and eliminate shipping costs

-Tom also stated that if anyone has a website or new email please let secretary know

-Cindy will check with Travis Moos to make sure he will still be in charge of donations for the 2011 show

-Jerry shared the show will still be at Hutchison in 2011

-Cindy is looking for a new photographer and she and Suzie will create a backdrop

-Clint thought he could do the pictures next show

-Cindy shared that Jerry needs to contact Travis M for donations; Denise S. for ribbons; and to get someone for the suppliers, and contact Eric C to check on nest years show

-Suzie shared that KAT printer is broken

-Jerry Okayed a new printer, looking for 3 in 1

-Cindy shared a new shipper; Unishipper; contact her for phone number

-Cindy shared all need to work on getting sponsor money; she is working with John Deer to sponsor judges

-Tom spoke with Courtyard in Junction City for 2012 show, sounded like a good deal and all agreed; he would confirm with them

-Jerry would like food to be catered on Friday night

-Tom though additional registration would cover expense

-Jerry will work on getting a caterer

-Cindy wants to look for a big name for a day seminar
